Raleigh Shaw Club Presents Virginia State
Band In Concert
On April 15, 1959, the Raleigh Chapter of the Shaw University Club
sponsored the presentation of the Virginia State Band in a concert as a
project to augment the Athletic Fund. The report from the committee
was received on May 20, 1959, and was not included in our last bulletin
which had already gone to press. We thought that other alumni
chapters and members would be interested in knowing about the
success of this effort, so we are including the report in this issue and
also a picture of some of the members who participated. Indications
point to increased loyalty and support among our alumni clubs, which
are found all over the country, and their enthusiasm seems to be re-
juvenated. With your continued manifestation of love for your alma
mater, Shaw University must "move forward!"
